& how your deposit works

Upon booking your reservation, we charge a 20% booking fee of your total booking amount. The outstanding balance will be due 48hours before your booking date.

A security deposit is also charged upon your booking, which is refunded up to 48 hours after your checkout date.

Security deposit rates are;

£25 per canvas tent booking.£200 for exclusive hire of glamping area only
£250 for entire site booking

Deposits will be taken if the following instructions are not taken care of;

(Please note if we need to charge more to cover costs, this will be charged from the same cardholder who paid the deposit) 

Cancellations 

*Cancellations or no shows within 48 hours of reservations we will charge the full amount of your booking.

You have an option upon booking to take out an insurance to cover you for the above, incase for any reason you are no longer able to make your trip.

Noise and disruption 

*We’re located at a high altitude, where winds are carried for miles around. 

Because of this sound travel we cannot accept the following on site;

Large speakers, only very small portable speakers please.

No running car engines, or car speakers

Generators 

Flares

Whistles

Fireworks

Rubbish 

Rubbish MUST be taken home with you. We are a wild site so no general waste bins operate in that area. (Please be mindful of what you are bringing, as you have to take all your rubbish back with you)

Open doors and windows

*TAKE care before leaving to zip up correctly ALL your doors, fly nets and windows! 

we are exposed to RAIN, ANIMALS, INSECTS! 

We are lucky to be upon high grounds, purely for the view, overlooking an abundance of meadows and rolling fields, which also means we are exposed to the elements. If you zip up, then no animals, insects or rain can take up residence or flood the tents. 

Removing/moving furniture etc.

*KEEP all furniture and Furnishings INSIDE the tents and areas. As you found them.

If you would like to bring bean bags, picnic blankets or camping chairs to sit on, please do.

We provide log seats only.

Damages or “lost” property 

*We know accidents, do happen! If any incidents arise please let us know as soon as possible, any damages or lost/stolen property of Evelyns Garden will be taken from your deposit.

Sauna and Plunge

If you are making a booking on behalf of a group, it is your responsibility to make all users aware of the following terms and conditions and to practice safe sauna and cold plunge use

All persons using the sauna do so at their own risk. If you have any reservations regarding sauna use, such as medical conditions, underlying health problems, the use of prescription drugs or pregnancy, it is essential that you consult your GP before making a booking.

 Alcohol, nudity and smoking are not permitted in the sauna. Jewellery should be removed before entering the sauna to prevent burning.

Children between the ages 10 to 16 are permitted to use the saunas during private sessions only (full sauna to be booked) as long as an adult family member/guardian is present at ALL TIMES during the hire/use of the sauna

Anyone under the age of 10 is NOT permitted to use the sauna

Exposure to hot equipment, slippery surfaces, hot & cold temperatures is done so at your own risk

Sauna etiquette must be adhered to at all times. This includes;

· Sauna sessions of no longer than 20 min at a time (we recommend 5-15 min sessions)

· Following operators’ instructions on how to pour water onto hot rocks

· Only pouring the provided ‘sauna water’ on hot rocks and nothing else

· Entering and exiting sauna in a safe manner

· Keeping access points clear to allow other users to exit safely and swiftly if needed

·  Remove shoes prior to entering the sauna and ensure feet are clean

·  Not touching any part of the stove

· Sitting on a towel within the sauna

· Behaving in a respectful way to all other bathers

· Rinsing prior to using any cold plunge baths

All persons using the ice cold plunge do so at their own risk. It is your own responsibility to ensure that you can cope being exposed to the cold temperatures.

No under16’s allowed in Ice Plunge /Cold showers

All belongings are left at your own risk

We reserve the right to refuse admission to intoxicated persons or for other reasons that may be deemed a health and safety risk. Refunds will not be offered to anyone refused admission.

General

Noise levels must be respected, and kept low.

No speakers, flares whistles.

Cars to be parked in wild pitch area if you are not a staying guest.

Glamping area prohibited to public bookees.

Firepit must not be moved

Health, Safety & Assumption of Risk

1. Farm Environment and Natural Hazards
 
The Site is situated on a working farm and within a rural environment. Guests acknowledge that the Site contains natural and agricultural hazards including, but not limited to, uneven ground, ditches, livestock areas, farm machinery, agricultural equipment, fencing, gates, barbed wire, ropes, guy lines, pegs, fire pits, wood-burning stoves and other features commonly associated with farming and outdoor recreation.
 
Guests are responsible for taking reasonable care for their own safety and for the safety of all members of their party whilst on the Site.
 
Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising children at all times and ensuring they do not enter potentially hazardous areas.
 
2. Fences, Boundaries and Barbed Wire
 
Guests must not climb, sit on, lean against, tamper with, cross or otherwise interfere with any fences, gates, walls, hedges, barriers or farm boundaries unless expressly authorised by Site management.
 
Certain boundary and agricultural fences may contain barbed wire or other agricultural fencing materials. Guests must keep a safe distance from such fencing and ensure that children do the same.
 
Guests shall be liable for the cost of repairing any damage caused by them or any member of their party to fencing, gates, livestock enclosures or other farm property.
 
3. Guy Lines, Pegs and Camping Equipment
 
Guests acknowledge that tents, bell tents, shelters, awnings and other camping structures may be secured using ropes, guy lines, pegs, stakes and anchors.
 
Guests must exercise caution when moving around the Site and are responsible for taking reasonable care to avoid trips, falls, cuts or other injuries associated with camping equipment and Site infrastructure.
 
Children must not play with, swing from, climb on or otherwise tamper with ropes, guy lines, pegs, tent fixings or associated equipment.
 
4. Hammocks
 
Any hammocks provided on the Site are used entirely at the Guest’s own risk.
 
Guests are responsible for inspecting hammocks before use and ensuring that they are used only for their intended purpose.
 
Children must be supervised by a responsible adult when using hammocks.
 
Guests must not stand on, jump on, swing excessively in, overload, misuse or use hammocks in a reckless manner.
 
The Site accepts no liability for injury, loss or damage arising from misuse of hammocks or failure to follow safe usage practices.
 
5. Fire Pits and Open Fires
 
Open fires are permitted only within designated fire pits or authorised fire areas.
 
Guests must never leave a fire unattended.
 
Children must be supervised at all times when near fires, hot ashes, embers, cooking equipment or fire pits.
 
Guests must exercise caution when tending fires or adding fuel and must maintain a safe distance from flames and hot surfaces.
 
Fire pits, ashes, embers and surrounding metal components may remain hot for many hours after use.
 
Guests are responsible for ensuring that all fires are fully extinguished before leaving them unattended and prior to departure from the Site.
 
6. Wood Burners and Tent Stoves
 
Wood-burning stoves, flue pipes, stove guards and associated equipment become extremely hot during use and may remain hot for a considerable period afterwards.
 
Guests must exercise caution at all times when operating or being near any wood-burning stove.
 
Children must be supervised at all times whenever a stove is lit or remains hot.
 
Clothing, towels, bedding, camping equipment and other combustible materials must not be placed on, near or above any stove or flue pipe.
 
Guests use all wood-burning stoves at their own risk and must follow any operating instructions provided by Site management.
 
Any defect, damage or safety concern relating to a stove must be reported immediately to Site management.
 
7. Working Farm
 
The Site forms part of a working farm. Agricultural vehicles, machinery, livestock, contractors and farming operations may be present at any time.
 
Guests must not enter farm buildings, livestock enclosures, workshops, machinery areas, storage facilities or private farmland unless specifically authorised by Site management.
 
Guests must not approach, feed, chase, handle or otherwise disturb livestock or farm animals.
 
8. Assumption of Ordinary Outdoor Risks
 
Guests acknowledge that camping and glamping activities involve inherent risks which cannot be entirely eliminated, including but not limited to slips, trips, falls, uneven terrain, adverse weather conditions, contact with vegetation, insects, wildlife, ropes, pegs, fencing, fires and heated equipment.
 
By staying on the Site, Guests accept these inherent risks and agree to act responsibly, follow all Site rules and safety instructions, and take reasonable precautions for their own safety and the safety of members of their party.
 
9. Limitation of Liability
 
Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
 
Subject to the above, the Site shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage or inconvenience arising from a Guest’s failure to follow Site rules, safety instructions or reasonable guidance provided by Site management, or from risks inherent in camping, glamping and outdoor activities.
